MULTI-MILLIONAIRE'S WILL
Mr. Duncan Maekmnon, East India merchant, of London, Xoup, and Balinakill (Argyllshire), formerly chairman of x the British Indian Steam Navigation Company, Ltd., who died in .March last, has left an estate of £11.781,000The duty paid on the estate amounted to' £1.308,667 . Mr .Mackinnon,' who was in his 74th year, Was a nephew of the late Sir William Mackinnon, in' whose firm of East India merchants ■' he : gained'- his early busineess experience at Glasgow. As a young man he proceeded to Calcutta, and was ultimately placed in charge of Messrs. Mackinuon, Mackenzie, and Co., agents of the British India Steam Navigation. Company On his return to London he was appointed a director of the company, of which he afterwards be-, came chairman. He retired a few years ago, and was succeeded by Lord Inchcape Two sons. Captain, William Mackinn'on, of the London Scottish, and Lieutenant Duncan Mackinnon, of the Scots Guards, were killed in, action in France last year Mr. Mackinnon left a widow and two daughters.
