HERR HARDENS PLEA
GERMANY MAT BE RUINED,

LONDON, 9th December
Herr Maximilian Harden, in an interview, stated that he knew Germany must be defeated even before the American's entry, and when America declared war he iooght with the German censors to fal the people the truth. Herr Harden pressed! the authorities to accept President Wilson's Fourteen Points, knowing that they would never get better terms, and concluded by saying: "The armistice terms are the hardest, and if peace is based on those terms Germany will be ruined. There are millions of sincere Germans', and the 'Allies should not treat us as militarists, hut as men.
