A COMMITTEE OF; INQUIRY.

In the House of Representatives yesterday afternoon, on the motion of Sir James Allen, a Committee wasappointed to inquire into the epidemic which'took pliise on tho transport conveying the 40th Reinforcements. The Committee comprised: '.Messrs. W. H. Field, J. P. Luke, R. M'Callum, A. S. Malcolm, R. Scott, W. Veitch, and the mover. . ■ Sir James Allen said the Committee woulj meet on Wednesday moaning, and he hoped its inquiry would be completed that day. .
