SCHOOL EXAMINATIONS

Mr. A. S. Malcolm (Ghiiha) put * question tcoday to the Minister of Education on the subject of entrance examinations affected by the epidemic. He asked whether it would not be possible in non-competitive cases to grant passes on the recommendations of teachers. He remarked that it would not matter if the effect was to widen the entrance. He gave as precedent the granting of university passes when examination papers were lost in a wreck. The Minister said that he would make inquiry as to what could be done.
