MOSLEM UNREST
VICEROY OF INDIA'S ASSURANCE.

SIMLA, 27th September. The Viceroy of India, Lord Chelmsford, in a speech at the closing of tho Council's session, referred to the unrest among the Moslems, who appeared to be disappointed at their inadequate representation in the franchise schemed He deplored the recent unfortunate disturbance at Calcutta, with its grievous deathroll. The Moslems could rest assured that their representation would be upheld and their wider interests always safeguarded. Amidst much applause he referred to the glorious share of the Indian forces in the Palestine victory.
