MESSAGE TO THE TROOPS
FROM THE N.Z. MINISTERS.

■Mr. Massey and Sir Joseph Ward have issued messages to the New Zealand troops. Mr. Massey says, he trusts that thb victories will continue until liberty triumphs, • "May it come quickly, but until it comes let our soldiers and civili* ana do their duty in order to make peace honourable and. permanent,"
Sir Joseph Ward congratulates the troops, especially on their capture of Bapaume, which confirmed the New Zealanders' highest reputation. He found them spoken of everywhere in the highest terras as men ,is well as soldiers, and regrets that the- exigencies of the. service prevented all long-service mea visiting the Dominion, This will be granted in future, as far as possible. Sir Joseph Ward also pays a tribute to the services of the nursing staff, and iwomen and others who are assisting in the clubs, canteens, and elsewhere.
