SOME INTERESTING GAMES

The hockey game* at Karori Park on Saturday afternoon were of a most interesting nature. The ground was in good order and all the players appeared to be in good form.

The surprise of the afternoon, was the defeat of Featherston by V.M.C.A. 0. The game, which was fast and open, ended with the score 5—4. Rnssel, who was in goal for the winners, distinguished himself by making several excellent saves. The scorers for V.M.C.A. were Tandy (2), Adams {'d), and Pearue. Egan (2), Shepherd, and Richmond were responsible for Featlierston's score. Mr. Wheatloy was tlie referee. A good game resulted in the meeting between Ramblers and V.M.C.A. A. Wheatley (2), Kuch, and Tate scored, for Ramblers, and Brazendale and Hogan for V.M.C.A. A. The game ended— Ramblers, 4; V.M.C.A. A., 2. Mr. Edwards held the whistle.

On No. 2 ground, Trentham A met ana defeated the B Veaw. by 6 goals to 1. Champnese (3), Crimp (2), and Sanderson scored for the A's, and Lees for the B's. Mr. Lloyd had charge of the game.

Karori and Base Records met on No. 3 ground, the former ndnning by 4 to 2 after a good game. Hall, Adams, Sforrie, and Smith scored for the winners, and Dobson and Ryan for the losers. Mr. Uougall acted as referee.

LADIES' GAMES. Following are the results of the ladies' games :—

Senior.

Public Trust 2, Ramblers 1; scorers, Misses Gilfedder and M'lnerney for Public Trust, and Miss N. Long for Ramblers. Wellington Girls' College A 4, University 1; scorers, Misses Marchbanks (3) and Nielsen for College, and Miss George for University. Huatahi 3, Ramblers B 1. Scorers, Misses Nimmo (2) and Edmondson for Huatahi, and Miss Condon for Ramblers. Base Records won by default over Pay Department.

Juniors.

Te Aro School 3, Girls College 2. Scorers, Misses M'Kinnon, Leak, and Wallace for Te Aro, and Misses Bedell and Wilkinson for College.
