SERIOUS ACCIDENT

WANGANUI, 10th August.
A serious accident occurred at Ahuahu yesterday. A young man named G"ordori Randall." a, returned soldier, was using a rifle ,as a walking stick when it discharged. The bullet entered below the jaw, lodging at the back of the eye. The accident occurred in rough country and it took ten hours to get the wounded man to the riverside. He ' was brought in a launch to tl)e Wanganui Hospital. He is in a very low condition.
