KATHLENE MACDONELL SEASON.

To-morrow night at the Grand Opera House, under the direction of J. C. Williamson, Ltd., Miss Kathlene MacDonell, in association with Mr. Charles Waldron and a first-class company, will appear in the first of four pla,ys which are announced for the season. The initial production will bo "Romance." The author, Edward Sheldon, is one of the young lights of the drama. He describes "Romance" as a. drama of love and passion, and unusual interest attaches to the story by reason that it embodies the love tragedy of a bishop.. The play is in three acts, with prologue and epilogue. Miss Kathlene MaeDonell will appear as the beautiful opera singer, Marguerita Cavalliiii, a part in which she has scored heavily. Much that is delightful may be anticipated of Mr. Charles Waldron as Thomas Armstrong, the susceptible rector of St. Giles. The popularity of both these artists was universal on the occasion of their previous visit with "Daddy Long Legs." The season, which will be limited to seven nights, will be notable for the production of two further plays, both new here —"The Rainbow" and "The Cinderella Man." These, with a revival of the famous "Daddy Long Legs," should constitute a season of a deal more than the ordinary interest. The box plans for the season are now open at the Bristol.
