Williamson, Ltd., will present Mass Kathlene.jMacDonell and Mr. Charles Waldron, supported by, a complete dramatic , organisation, in;' "Romance," which, will bo played for the first four nights., lir the unusual success obtained by Edward Sheldon's play, both ■in England and America, andmore recently in Australia, it is said that,playwrights and. managers may find ,a hint which may assist .them in their never-ending _ hunt for that elusive thing ; known as "what the public wants." For ''Romance" is an oldfashioned love story.-.drama, andl an effective one. The play is presented in a prologue andl three acts and an; epilogue, the first-named serving to introduce the . story' told in three acts, the epilogue adding an artistic tail piece.. Great things may be expected of Miss Kathlene MacDonell as La CavaUili, the bewitching opera singer who enslaves the young clergyman, Thomas Armstrong.'! Mr. Charles Waldron,. whose fine playing in "Daddy, Long Legs" will be doubtless remembered, is said to be admirable as the' love-torn- rectoi' of' Saint Giles. The cast comprises no less than-twenty-five names, including many .well-known to the public.
