MEN ON CAMP STAFFS
r' Enquiries were made by a Post reporter regarding the statement that the Government had given notice to all. fit men employed on the camp staffs "at Trentham and Fcatherston to hold themselves in readiness to proceed to the front. The: reporter learnt that for a considerable time past it had been the policy of the Defence Department to employ only unfit men on homo service. Fro mtime to time men were examined if they were likely to be-fit, and if fit wore posted to reinforcement drafts according to their class in the reserve. This policy hils been iv operation for eomo timo and there \a\% -bead no special stops taken lately.
