The adoption of the annual report and balance-sheet (a digest of "which has already been published) was moVed by the chairman, who said he considered the chief feature of the year's work was the great effort they had made on behalf of patriotic funds. The result was a credit to all concerned, and would show thoße who might be disposed to criticiso them that, although they played bowls, they were quite ready 'to "do their bit" as far as patriotic efforts were concerned; (Hear, hear.) M to the Edwin Feathers, he thought the games should be confined to the city clubs, among whom the "feathers" used to be regarded as a kind of "Blue Ribbon." The Hill Pins might well be confined to the suburban clubs, and played on tho Saturday. As to the suggestions made by Mr. Shallcrass for the better upkeep of greens, he said they had got so accustomed to tho present condition of affairs that they had failed to recognise the benefit to be gained by combination among the clubs, especially in regard to a central depot for the provision of suitable top-dressing. He hoped tho clubs would seriously and carefully consider the proposals that had been made.
Mr.' V. Dimock seconded the motion, which was earned after a. brief discussion. •
