AN APPEAL
IO THE EDITOR. Sir, —The terrible fire which has destroyed Raetihi has left the people without, homes, clothing, or any of the necessaries of life. Tho immediate need of practical assistance must appeal to all who think for one minute of the position of these unhappy, homeless settlers, and make them eager to do something to show their sympathy.
