EXTENSION OF THE LINE,

■ LONDON 1, 14th February. ' It is announced that the British have taken over an extension" of their line in Italy,, east of the Montello Ridge, along the Piave to beyond Nervesa.
[The British army in Italy took up its defensive position onjthe Montellp Hill, which is a detached mass west 1 of the Pjave, a few milts south of the Alpine fringe and about 35 miles from'the mouth of the river. Xervesa is. two or three milas from the east end of Montello in the downstream direction.]
