TO THE EDITOR.' Sir,—Your correspondent, "LiberalNationalist," in yesterday's Post, need not be alarmed. The truce which, happily for New Zealand, lias been in existence for three years, will be honoured by the great bulk of the electors of Wellington North, both Reform and Liberal: but we are passing through serious times, and we request our leaders to see that the candidate whom we may be asked to support ehall bo able to comply with certain necessary conditions. He must be a man wo can trust, and who ' hae proved himself to be trustworthy by his public services. He must be British born, of British instincts (a man of the people), a typical British citizen, and he must be a thoroughly loyal supporter of our Win-the-War Government. If the Premier and hie colleagues choose such a man—and I hope they will—ho will have the enthusiastic support of the women of Wellington North, of whom I am Gne.—T am, etc..
