JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP.

In the Junior Championship match University defeated Scots College by 67 runs. Details:—University, 83 (Morton 26, Raines 20) and 195 (Morton 88, Raines 51, Burns 11). . Scots College, 101 (Uttley 42, Farquhar 30) and 110 (Uttley 56 not out, Cree 17, Gibson II). For University, Woods took' eleven wickets for 51; Morton, four for 26; Raines, three for 20; Kane, one for 16. For College, Uttley took seven for 36; Bridge, nine for 90; Piper, one for 37; Cree, three for 28.

At Hutt, Old-Boys -were defeated by Hutt B by seven wickets. The losers in their second innings compiled 54 runs. Boseley, Coleman, and Shapcott, 10 each, leaving Hutt with 25 to score in order to win. This they did with the loss of four wickets: For the winners, Smith took six wickets for 17 and Slater three for 17, and for the losers Boseley secured two wickets for 7 runs.
