ARCHITECTS AND THE WAR
There are now 330 members of the New Zealand Institute .of Architect, distributed as . follows .-—Auckland 100," Wellington 130, Canterbury 48, Otago34/ Southland 12; life honorary members, 6. Of the total, 134 rank as Fellows- and' 196 as Associates. Last year the total membership was 328—134 Fellows and 194 Associates. The membere serving with the different branches of the New Zealand Expeditionary Forces aid' 15 Fellows and 57. Associates, being 22 per cent, of the total active membership, as against 11 per .-cent. a.t, the, same period last year. Military honours have, according to the annual report - of- the Qouucil, of the Institute, been secured by the following:—Capt. F. Ei Greenish, M.C. ; Lt. Stanley' Jfatiiech,: M.G ; L.-Cpl. J. H. Edgecumbe,:'M.M. ; Lt. E. R, Wills, M.C. The council reports,with deep regret, the "names of. the following who have fallen in the. war: — Lt. G. W. Callender, Pte. A. D.Recce, Sgt. W.;JB. A. Quick, Act.-Capt.- W. B. Baehby, Capt. F. K. Marchant, Lt. T. H. Wateon, 2nd Lt: M. K. M'Leod, and Pte. Allan Stevenson".' •
