MIRAMAR BOROUGH COUNCIL
A meeting of the Miramar Borough Council was held last night. Present: The Mayor (Mr. F. Townsend), Councillors H. Hawthorn, F.- H. Underwood, ■W. H. Green, M. Tracy, and H. K. Eobertshaw. ' Permission was granted to Mrs. E. Wilson to erect a motor-garage on the road reserve, Karaka Bay. Approval was given for the subdivision of certain property at Seatoun. This was reported to be the sixth subdivision in three weeks. A motion was passed relative to the addition of 10 per cent, to all outstanding rates. The Engineer stated that the services of one of the council's employees, drawn in the last ballot, were essential to the successful carrying out of the drainage system. It was decided to .appeal for. Tiis exemption from military service.
