At a luncheon given by the Cold Storage and Ice Association, Mr. Johif Wardle, the Government Director of Cold Storage, said that the cold storage capacity of the United Kingdom was being increased to 40,000,000 cubic feet. _ Sir Thomas Mackenzie (High Commissioner for New Zealand), who presided, said that it seemed strange that in the sale of produce loyalty should furnish a handicap, while blatant disloyalty commanded a premium. New Zealand dairymen got 17d a lb for butter, while the price of. the Irish product was nearly double that. The overseas people were willing to sell at low prices if the consumer got the benefit, but'they were not disposed to see the profit going into the pockets of those who were not consumers.
