Although the management eri3eavoured: to extend the Wellington season of Miss. Reeve,' which begins on Monday nighi next, at tlie Grand Opera; House, circumstances will only allow the famous comedienne to appear here (for a season of six nights. .In Auckland; where Miss Beeve appeared for a longer period, the booking constituted a record. Talcing this as an indication, it will probably be advisable for those ■wishing to enjoy a :performance of ' Miss Reeve to book their seats'to-morrow morning, when the ■plans will be, opened at tlie Bristol for 'the whole season. ' During, her. brief season Mias Reeve and the artists supporting her will present two distinct programmes. As an artist she is said to be unique. She is the happy possessor of a personality that demands recognition without in any way forcing itself upon the attention of 'the laudience. She evokes tears with a simple badlad, and- drives them away with the laughter aroused by a Cockney romance. The company supporting Miss Reeve comprise excellent talent, among whom may be' mentioned: Louis Nikola, wizard and magician' 1 of shadow shapes; Harry -Jacobs, the singing conductor; Lucie Linda, juvenile danseuse; Kennedy Allan, burlesque comedian; Alvin and Williams, in "Bits from Songland"; and Frank Markley, the 'Banjo King; also the Londo» Comedy Company.
