SOLDIERS' PAY AND PENSIONS
The House of Representatives will meet in "secret session" to-night to consider the question of pay, pensions, and allowances to soldiers .and their .dependents. The- session will probably last for two or three hours. The increase of the pensions cost under the scheme contemplated is now estimated at ,a million and a-quarter per annum. .
