ANOTHER GERMAN RAID
TEN AEROPLANES OVER KENT
TWO BROUGHT DOWN.

LONDON, 22i;d August. The Press Bureau states: Ten enemy aeroplanes approached Kent, near Ramsgate, at 10 o'clock in the morning. The Flying Corps and Naval Air Service met and heavily engaged the raiders, preventing them, penetrating inland. A small party of raiders flew to Margate and then' turned homeward, the remainder skirted the coast southward to Dover. Bombs were dropped at Dover and Margate. Three people were killed and two injured. Slight damage was done. Our anti-aircraft gunfire brought down two of the raiders.
