i LONDON, 21s£ Auguat. A French official communique states : A violent artillery duel is proceeding on the Cerna bend and north of Monastir. Our fire caused explosionsl in two of the enemy's heavy batteries and an ammunition dump. A squadron of fifty Allied aeroplanes dropped bombs in the neighbourhood of Prilep, causing many fires.
