TO CLEAB UP MISUNDEB-

STANDING.

(AUSTRALIAN-NEW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Beceived August 18, 2.30 p.m.)

PETBpGRAD, 17th August. In order to clear up any misunderstanding regarding the Stockholm Conference, M. Keren6ky has issued the following statement to an interviewer: "The Bussian Government intended to convey to the British Government that, being a national coalition, of different parties, it could not consent to be bound by the decisions of a conference representing one party." M. Kerensky said he personally did not oppose the conference, and regarded favourably any effort designed to promote a reasonable peace. The Bussian Government was asking the Allies not to place obstacles in the way of delegates wishing to attend.
