PROSPECTS FOR TO-MORROW

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The prospects for to-morrow are good. The Winter Cup winner (King Star) has been raised 151b in the August Handicap. The shorter distance will suit Miss De Val, Tip-Up, and Zuland. Fresh horses engaged include Samisen, Furling, and Charley, useful sprinters.
Master Strowan and Stone Ginger, first day winnem, have both dropped out of the Beaufort Steeplechase. Diayolo led for about two miles and a-half in the National. St. Elmn and Merry Lad may be the best of the others.
Sleight of Hand is not handicapped in the Sydenham Hurdles, which has filled well. Sir Solo ajid Sir Fisher, the other place-gettcre, are in. Dionysius, winner of the Trial Hurdles is well in with 9.2.
Bliss Sation may do better in the Spreydon Hurdles.
