Tho annual meeting of the . Kent terrace Presbyterian Church was hole last evening, the Rev. Dr. 3. Kevmcdj JSlliott being- in. the chair. Speaking l< the annual report, Mr. John M'.Eldow ney remarked that the minister, Dr. El liott, liad the respect, and confidence o the. city, and the love of his congrcga tion. He also referred to the. work, of tin women for the church, and for the com forit of.the men at-the front. Mr. K-ober Johnson drew attention to the efficiency of tho work amongst the"children, aii( the youth of the church. The treasurer Mr. J. W. ■ Jack, was ■ congratulated, b\ Dr. J. K. Elliott on his balance-sheet which revealed the fact ithat fully one third of all the moneys collected wa< given away to objects outside the needs of the congregation. The institutions o the Presbytery, such..as the Orplianagi and Scots College, had been very liber ally supported, as had also Home, Maori atnd Foreign Missions..
