The managing-director, Mr. R. AVilson, sends us the following rj-port:—The mine, now that jjroper ventilation has been effected, is in fine order. It is intended to work the battery with two shifts and soon with three shifte. In No/3 level a, reef 6ft wide of payable quartz has bean opened up for a distance ot 25ft, in virgin country. If it proves to bo part of the north lode sysiem it will practically create a new mine. Tn No. 3 level we are driving to intercept the reef, in the previous level. . Stone giving high assays has been located in No. 9 level, but the.shaft wUThave to be deepened to work it-.
