SENSATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
There has been a sensational development in connection with an assault case which came before the Magistrate's Court yesterday. A man named William Reynolds was charged with assaulting Bert Parker, and it was mentioned at the time that Parker's condition was serious. Last night an operation to relieve the pressure on the brain was performed at the Hospital,-, but the patient died at midnight. An inquest will, of course, be held, and it is probable that Reynolds will subsequently be charged with manslaughter.
