DISCHARGED SOLDIERS
Up Jap the end of last month, the Discharged Soldiers' Information Department Bad found work for 1541 discharged soldiers; 619 men had not responded to repeated communications'or had failed to turn up to billets found for them; 1556 did not;want assistance; and 3050 either had-work to return to or had re-enlisted. There *are 702 cases not ready for action (convalescing and _.st> on), and only 157 on the; Employment Wanted Register, including- 15 at Wellington.
