ENGINEERS'STRIKE

ROCHDALE TROUBLE ENDED,

LONDON, 9th May.

Mr. Bonar Law informed the. Hoiise of Commons : that the 1 Rochdale strikers (engineers) had returned to work. He admitted that there was still considerable unrest in certain sections of the engineering trade. The Government was satisfied that the trouble was mainly due to the activities of a number of men who desired to upset the authority of the trade unions. The great majority of the strikers did not know why they were striking. Any action against those who were responsible for this interference in the output of munitions that were SO' urgently needed must be taken without delay.
