' An official despatch from Mesopotamia ''states : Besides the captured rolling stock mentioned previously, ouv captures af Istabulat included twenty officers, 667 men, one big gun, fourteen Krupp guns, and a great quantity of ammunition. General Maude reports : After a. night march we attacked a Turkish division on the west bank of the Shatt-el-Adhem, and compelled the enemy to fall back ten miles 1o the northward.
