PAST WEEK'S HEAVY LOSSES.
LONDON, 25th April. The Admiralty report on the submarine campaign during the week.,gives the following figures, those of last week's report being given in parentheses :—. , Arrivals ........v............ 2585 (2379) Departures-'.'."... 2621 (2331) Sunk, over 1600 tons ... 40 . (19) Sunk, under 1600 tons ... x 15 . (9) Unsuccessfully attacked 27 (15) Fishing vessels sunk .... 9 ' (12) [The figures for the past week. show much the heaviest losses incurred since the ' Admiralty instituted- the weekly tabulations at the end,of February. The. previous highest numbers were : Vessels over 1600 tons, 19; under 1600 tons, 13; escapes, 19.]
