WAR RISK RATES RAISED

■TEe Government has been advised that the Imperial Government's- war risk marine insurance rate has been raised to 5 per cent. Shortly after the war tie rate was fixed at 1 pep cent, and remained so for a long time. Then it was raised to 2 per cent.,, and, on 19th March, last, coinciding with increased enemy submarine activity, it was raised to 3 per cent. The raising of the rate to 5 per cent, is significant. The marine war risk insurance with the Imperial Government is arranged at this end through , the New Zealand State Fire Office.
