' A meeting of the Hamilton Chamber'i of Commerce last night resolved that tha Minister for Defence be asked if he can see his way clear to do away with the ■ annual Territorial training camps during war time, owing to the difficulty in procuring labour, and in view of the likeli-' ■ hood of further men being called*up,iin-,-. ■der the ballot system. ■ It waa resolved that the Minister be asked if it is possible to give an idea through the press relative to the present standard of fitness for military -service, ; with a view to giving business men »■ better chance' of arranging their; affairs.
