A PRESENTATION
The staff of the Education Board during tho course of a pleasant social evening spent last week at the residenfio of Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Stewart, at Wadestown, took the opportunity to present Mr. J. Varnham, the vretiring chief clerk, with a' substantial token of "tho goodwill of his follow ofiicers. Mr. Stewart, Mr. .Fleming, and Mr. Bakowell, speaking on bohalf of thoio present, commended Mr. Varnham on his 20 years' service, during tho last twelve of which ho had filled tho position of chief clerk, wished him renewed vigour in his now undertaking, *nd trusted that by the return of their eldest son, now doing good service at the front, Mr. and Mrs. Varnham and family might be happily reunited in tho near future in a modo of life which would suit them allAfter musical honours had boon done him, Mr. Varnham made- feeling and fitting reply. - ,
