HOSPITAL & CHARITABLE AID BOARD
The following nominations have been received at Petone and Lower Huttfor local representatives on the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board :—
H. Baldwin, nominated by J. Brasell, A. Carver, T. Ballinger.
J. W. M'Ewan, nominated by C. W. Watts, M. A. Kent. ■
Messrs. Baldwin and M'Ewan have been declared cfuly elected.
Three of the candidates selected by the Municipal Electors' Association, Messrs. R. A. Wright, C. B. Norwood, and J. 0, Shorland, commenced their campaign with an open-air meeting at Courtenay-place on Saturday night. The attendance, despite stormy weather, was satisfactory. The candidates explained their attitude regarding milk distribution, housing schemes, and other civic 'problems. Messrs. Wright and Norwood also dealt with Harbour Board questions. Meetings will be held at Lyall Bay and KUbimie this evening. .'...• .
