WEATHER STILL UNSETTLED
WIND,-FOG, AND RAIN LIKELY
Although there has been a, slight rainfall, /the weather still continues hot and muggy;with h- light breeze to cool things down somewhat. The barometer has continued moderately low, and pressure has not altered to any extent over the Dominion since last evening. Unsettled, cloudy,, and misty conditions have been experienced, ajid rain has fallen generally. Variable easterly breezes have prevailed in and, southwards o£ Cook Strait,' whilst light easterlies, strong to gale, have ruled northwards. According to the forecast issued to-day by the Meteorological Office, a continuance of unsettled and cloudy conditions is likely, with much mist, fog, and further rain, heavy in parts of the North Island and in the northern parts of the South Island. Freshening easterly and (south-easterly winds are likely to predominate locally and to the southwards, whilst strong easterlies are probable in the north.
