GISBORNE, This Day-. The Gisborne Racing Club's Summer Meeting opened to-day in ' showery weather. Results:—

■First Handicap Hurdles, of 120 soys; one mile and a-ha-lf.—Bodenliam, 9.5, 1; Con, 9.8, 2; Black Heart, 10.9, 3. Scratched : Smilajc. Won by four lengths, with one length between second and third. Maiden Scurry, of 300 soys; weight B.o.—Treasure King 1, Karema 2, Woodrow 3.. Scratched : Fortunate, Won by a length. -Time, 50sec.
