LODGE MEETINGS

The weekly meeting of the Pioneer Lodge, No. 11, 1.0. G.T., was presided over by C.T. Bro. H. J. Millan. Bro. Pethorick proposed Mr. and Mrs. Warren, two old grand lodge members, for readmission to tho order. Tho committee appointed having reported satisfactorily, the Teadmission ceremony was then conducted by the C.T. Bro. Harding was also readmitted into the order. A motion of sympathy to the family of Sister (Mrs.) Schmidt (Ark of Eden Lodge, Auckland), who recently met with a tragic end, was carried in silence. A vote of sympathy was also passed to Bro. Carmichael, who recently met with an accident. Bro. Ullmer notified the lodge ot his removal to Canterbury. The. secretary drew attention to the item, "Literary Night," on tho programme, and informed members of the near approach of tho last day, sth February, for the reception of items for "The Wellington Good Templar. ' The evening's programme was as follows: Pianoforte solos, Bro. Miller (2); song, Sister Miller, jun.; recitations, Bro. Pothcrick and Sister Hyde, jun. Supper was provided, and votes of thanks were accorded to those who contributed to the programme. At next week's mooting- the election and installation _ of officers for tho coming- quarter will take place.
