';; Messrs. Levin and Co. have to-day received the following cablegram from London:—"October wool sales have opened. Merinos and slipe wools are very firm and unchanged. Fine crossbreds are 1\ per cent, higher than September rates, and medium and coarse crossbreds are 5 per cent, higher." l'| The Bank of .New Zealand has received the following cable from its London office:—"Wool sales opened with animated competition. Greasy crossbreds are 5 per cent, dearer, whilst merino sjlipes are fully "firm compared with closing rates of last, scries.". ■
'I Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co. have received the following cable from Messrs. Sanderson, Murray and Co., London:—"Sales have qpened, good attendance- of ; buyers. Market firm. Scoured merino and greasy crossbred have advanced,s per cent."
