LAND AGENTS
ASSOCIATION'S. ANNUAL MEETING.
The annual meeting of the Land Agents and Auctioneers' Association of Wellington (Incorporated) was held last evenings/Mr A. Gellatly (vice-president) being in' the chair in the absence of the president (Mr. A. T, Bate), at present in Auckland.
It was reported by the Chairman that the Feilding land agents (ten in number) had joined the association, and he congratulated them upon working together for the success of the association.
The annual report and balance-sheet (already published in summarised form) were adopted. Mr. A. Gellatly was elected _ president in place of Mr. Bate, who intimated that ill-health prevented his continuauee in office. Messrs. L. H. B. Wilson (Wellington) and A H. Atkinson were elected. vice-presidents, and an executive committee was elected as follows: — Messrs. Pairbairn, Wanganui, and U. A. Preece, Palmerstoiv North (country members) ; Messrs. J. Panning, S. Harcourt, J. T. Horn, H. E., Leighton, R. E. Manley, A. L. Wilson, and E. X Barnett (town members). Mr. E. W. Hunt was re-elected auditor
The resignation of the firm of Messrs. Williams, Hunt, and. Co. as a member of the association was received with regret.
On the motion of Mr. L. H. B. Wilson it was decided that a levy equal to _5s per member be made out of the association's funds to assist the Dominion Association in sending two delegates through the South Island for the purpose of forming associations to affih'ntc with the Dominion organisation. It was also decided to' recommend the Dominion Association, if funds' permit, '.■ foster the formation of associations ' Hawkes Bay and Taranaki.
