NATIONAL RESERVE

The School of Military Training in connection with the National Reserve has now been in existence for about three months, and during that period nearly fifty pupils have been and are under tuition.

Of this number one officer and five n.c.o.'s have been accepted for the Expeditionary Forces, and judging by the aptitude and keen interest evinced by the remainder of the classes there is no doubt that all will prove up to' the standard set by the Defence Authorities in Trenfcham. This is a good record for the instructional staff, and reflects not only great credit upon the instructors and pupils, but also emphasises the fact that the system and syllabus taught is quite in accord with that used in the camps. It is the intention of the instructional staff to have a short vacation at Christmas, and therefore any intending to join these classes should do so at once, in order to have all the tuition possible before the recess, especially if they anticipate going into camp about that time. The work of the instructors is much appreciated by all with whom they come in contact.
