CONCERT AND SWIMMING CARNIVAL

The concert and swimming carnival will be continued to-night at the Public Tepid Swimming Baths, Tasman-street. A good concert programme has been prepared, to which the following artists will contribute: —Mrs. Herbert F. Wood (contralto), Miss Ethel Churchill (elocutionist), Miss Eva Smith (contralto), Mr. Herbert F. Wood (tenor), Mr., W. W. Crawford (humorist), and Master. Winston M'Carthy. The accompanist will .be Miss L. Caddick. The swimming events should be well worth seeing, as the finals of a number of races will take place. iL. Lansdowne will again act the part pf the clown, in which character he showed himself last night to be very clever, causing roars of laughter. Many novelties are being introduced iv the swimming programme, including pretty coloured electrical effects. The Tramway Band will render selections during the evening.
