RESULT OF CORONER'S

ENQUIRY.

AUCKLAND, This Day.

At the enquiry into the fire at Waiuku on 28th August the Coroner returned, a verdict that the fire had been wilfully caused, but there was no evidence to show by whom.

[The fire, which started at 4 o'clock in the morning in Mr. J. Gribblo's saddler's shop, spread to several adjoining business premises, the whole of which were destroyed. The total hiss was estimated at £3000. Incendiarism wag suspected. The police investigated the matter, but failed to get any clue.]
