The annual meeting of the Horowlienua Racing* Club will be held at the Weraroa. course (Levin) to-morrow. Trains leave Thorndon station at 8,"£0 and 9.10 a.m. Excursion fares will bo available.
The Australian performer The Golfer is to make his first appearance in the Munakau Hurdles. Others down to compete are. .Vaimabaki (runner-up to Combustion at Marton) and the Trentliamtrained Onnesby.
'Two- Otaki winners in I_ongora and Detroit .are included in the hold engaged in the Moutere Hack Handicap, seven furlongs.
Sweet Tipperary and Tyson, a. good beginner, are engaged in the M'Donald ..Memorial Handicap, five furlongs. Tangihou has been causing his trainer some; trouble and may not go to the post for the Ilorowheuua Cup. Master Mout-ca was placed in the principal event en the first dn.'y at. Otaki'. Want may 'be improved with the race he had yesterday. . ,-• Merry Andrew, top weight in tho Levin Hack Handicap, may bo rehandicapped for the Otaki win. Ho is a. good beginner and is not meeting strong opposition. . , . If started in the Ohau Hack Welter, one mile and a distance, .Bronk Delaval, second in tho Dominion Hack Handicap at Otaki, • should be well supported. In his absence Sir Fisher and Silenus maycarry most money. The lot engaged in the Maiden Scurry, five furlongs, include Lady Edith (second ,to Teka, at Pahiatua), Black Night, and Battle Tide.(place-getters at Otaki). Martial Air and Jean Laddo are likely .to. be well supported in the Weraroa Welter, seven furlongs.
