COURT CASES

Messrs. B. D. H.inlon and I. Salek, Justices of the Pence, dealt with the following additional business in the . Magistrate's Court yesterday : — In the case of Charles Edward Storie, a miner, charged with committing a grossly indecent act, it was shown that the offence, which took place-in Bucklestreet, was not of a very serious nature, and the defendant was convicted and discharged. He was simiferly dealt with for drunkenness.

A plea of guilty was entered by James Hayes, who was charged with obstructing Constable Frost while in the execution of his duty, nnd a fine of 40s was imposed. In default of payment, Hayes was ordered to spend fourteen days in gaol.
