ONSLOW BOROUGH

A meeting of the Onslow Borough Council was held last night, the Mayor (Mr. C. C. Crump) presiding. '.'

Residents of York-avenue petitioned, for an additional light. The Engineer (Mr. R. S. Rounthwaite) reported in favour of the proposal, which was agreed -to. ' . :

It. was also decided to accede to.the petitioners' request that an alteration should be made in the position. of the light in Victoria-avenue. The Engineer said he had again inspected the main road near Xgaio, where proposed widening had been suggested, and he did not think that any material advantage would be gained to the main, road by the setting back of fence and excavating embankment. The engineer's report was adopted.
