Piano solos were given by Mrs. Ford ham and Mr. Foster, an instrumental trio by the- Misses Henry, and songs by the Misses Driscoll .and E-osa van ■Staveren, and Messrs. Cooko and Moore. The principal item was a short comedy, "La Lettre, Chargee," read and partly acted by Misses Allan and M'Diarmid, and Messrs Chapman and Foster. On the motion of Miss Hind, seconded e by Mr. Whettan, a hearty vote of thanks was passed to the Misses van Staveren for arranging the entertainment, and to the visitors who had given their services.
