HUTT METHODIST CHURCHES
Afc the quarterly meeting of the Hutt Methodist churches, the financial report showed that the income from the Hutt church was almost £90, but therg^was a small debit balance, owing to the home mission annual collection occurring during the quarter, in addition to the church anniversary. The.sum of £5 16s?lid'had been sent to the military camps. The evening services al Belmont were reported to be encouraging, and there was a decided increase of Sunda,y School scholars, the total number on the rolls at present being 29. About fifteen ■of their young" men "were serving their Empire, and in this, connection an honours board is to be erected shortly. Messrs. Walton and Bird were elected as circuit delegates to the Conference Arrangements Committee at Wellington. The Young Worshippers' League has a membership of 62. It was decided to secure the services oE. the Silver Band for a sacred concert to'be held shortly.
