B Company (Wellington East) paraded last week at Clyde • quay; under Lieut. : Partridge. The -company wa-s inspected and drilled in squad drill exercises by Staff Instructors Congreve, Leckie, and Power. It is now arranged that staff instructors should . regularly visit each company in the district, -so as K> ensure a uniform system of drill, and the company fully appreciated the new methods. There is now a' good opportunity for recruits to learn'the drill from the commencement,, and, by drilling with those who may<be slightly more efficient, they will find that they' can learn their drill in the; shortest space of. time. Next Thursday evening the company will hold a special meeting to discuss the question of filling up vacancies that there are now among the- officers. ,
